I recently picked up this shell off a member here on vortex not to long ago. I now just bought a 1980 caddy and my priorities are changing. Now all the time and money are going to go into the caddy.
This shell has almost ZERO rust. The whole car is clean besides the driverside rear wheel well where the quarter meets the rear panel. The car looks to have been in a not to bad of an accident. The quarter was pulled and fixed but somewhere during fixing the damage they did not rust proof. This is just my best guess. Its an easy fix to be honest, I just never got to it due to starting in the engine bay.
The floors are solid. This was the first project I did on the shell. I wire wheeled all the floor pans and cleaned them really well. I then layed down a coat of rust reformer and a coat of black paint. it came out great and there is no longer any surface rust in the interior. The engine bay is half done. I started to restore the front and passenger strut tower and currently are coated in primer. The front wheel wells were cleaned out and coated with undercoating.
Overall this shell is definitely worth saving. There is no rust to fix besides the rear quarter.
I recieved quite a bit of GTI bits for this car from the previous owner. I can include everything that wont fit my caddy for the right price. I will go through everything I have and list everything I can add extra.
I want to get $400 for the shell alone
I want to get $500 for the shell plus all the parts I have to go with it.

any surface rust you think you see is either seam sealer or very light surface rust.

Im pretty firm on the prices, but i will possibly accept partial trades for caddy parts.
