Hey guys, I have a 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 I want to put in the GTI for the girlfriend's listening pleasure, but I don't want to jump the gun on an amp. I was thinking maybe a 4-channel would be more wise than a monoblock and bridge two channels to power the sub, and use the other two down the road when I add components on the front. Right now, the car is completely stock with the basic disc changer and not-so-great speakers. I know I'll need a line output converter and tie the amp's remote wire into an AC power source, like the outlet. If I'm going to be running a sub and full range speakers, do I need any special loc, or will the do? Now for an amp, I was considering;
I've had good luck with Hifonics amps, I have no experience with the other two. Keep in mind this is a 'budget' amp and a $400 JL just isn't going to happen. Do you think the 4-channel setup I'm talking about would be the best bet? Any inputs are welcome, I know there's plenty of more knowledgable people on here than me! I will be building a sealed box for the Kappa, and the components are yet to be determined.
