FS: 2007 VW GTI 6MT (2dr BMP/Interlagos), 65k mi., NOT salvaged/rebuilt, only $12,249!

I'm selling my beloved GTI to buy a 4-door GTI (kids). Check the CL post for details, but basically the car has a mistake in the Carfax/Autocheck history. Clean WA state title (NOT salvaged/rebuilt), no accidents, no damage. Excellent condition, well-maintained, all records and receipts, asking only $12,249 FIRM.

An idiotic auction inspector in TX marked it with a "unibody announcement" b/c of paint work on the hood (car was keyed and original hood repainted), which now shows up as "structural damage" on the Carfax. This kind of mistake isn't common, but it's not unusual, either:

http://reviews.ebay.com/Frame-damage...00000018463312

I've had no less than 4 full inspections done on the car (2 at VW dealerships, and 2 at independent shops, including Fine Tuning Performance and a body shop specialist in Seattle, H&I Automotive (http://www.yelp.com/biz/h-and-i-automotive-seattle). No one has found ANY sign of structural damage. The body shop put it up on a rack for an hour and went at it. Everything is original, and the only thing they could find is that the hood was resprayed. Of course I have all the documentation to prove this.

See my CL post here: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/2729534977.html

Hoping to move this quick, and I feel like it's a fair price. The car is in great shape, I'm located in Seattle. Take a look and you won't be disappointed.

I hope this "man" -rots- for this...

http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local...134513083.html

Quote:

A south side boy was beaten to death on what family members said was his fourth birthday.

Christopher Valdez died at his home near 51st and South Trumbull Avenue. A police spokesman said it's believed the boy died of blunt force trauma.

"My niece's boyfriend beat the baby to death, and I don't know exactly what happened. I've never even met the man," said Steven Valdez, the boy's great uncle.

Another uncle said he arrived at the home with a birthday cake for the youngster immediately after the incident. He said he restrained the boyfriend until police arrived.

The boyfriend, who was described as anti-social and violent, is in police custody. Family members said the boyfriend two weeks ago severely beat a dog for relieving himself in the home. They said they're in shock that a grown man could take out so much anger on a child.

"I just can't understand how anybody could do that," said Santiago Valdez, the boy's great-grandfather. "I just can't. It's just a shock to me."
