FS< SoCal 1998 DE Ginster Gti! slammed

Hey guys im putting up my 1998 ginster 2.low for sale to see were it stands at
it currently reads 202k miles on the odometer but still runs like new inside is fresh really clean except for driver seat little tore but thats it.
Clean Title 2nd owner basically first because my aunt owned it before I did(have original receipts for everything done to it dating all the way back to 1997. It is seriously slammed to the floor.
has rokkor coilovers bought april of 2011, Cam, and Chip, I might put stock air box back in but as of now has a short ram. It pics up very fast for a 2.0 keeps up almost with my friends vr's
This past year since I have owned it we installed a new starter, clutch, Wheel bearings, front slotted rotors, front control arms, and much more if serious buyers I can look through receipts and find out. It is on some momo quazar reps dont know the brand bought them from a guy on vortex and painted satin black.

also if i dont have done by time i have sold it it will need a new inner tie rod as it is little bent
and as well it doesnt bother me but it does have a little rust on the fender and hood is a little bent but barely noticeable.

Dont remove the battery while engine running

?? Orly? Well I think that might be a legit enough warning, lemme explain.

My 97 TL was dying on me while driving. I made a post on here before asking advice but thats a moot point now. Like I said, car would just shut off and refuse to start back up. Put it on a jump box or battery charger and it would start right up...

Anyway my first checkup was the electrical system. I took it to pep boys (mistake) and had them run an electrical health check. Everything is A-OK, or so I thought. Well after car dies 3 times I start to really dig in. First thing was me checking the Alternator output myself. I think the alt is supposed to be able to keep everything electrical (and charge the batt) under its own power. I know the battery can act as a buffer / basic voltage normalizer in a small way but thats not related to what I'm looking into.

I unhooked the battery while the car idles, it stays on. I hit the brakes and the interior lights dim and the rpm's drop then raise to normalize. I then turned on the AC, car died.
I repeated the process but with heat this time, car almost dies. I then put on the headlight and got some weird feedback in the speakers and the fuel pump sounded stressed. I hit the brakes and the car dies.... See a trend...

My understanding is nothing should happen at all if your car has a functioning alternator for the load given. I say it like that because I use an OEM alt and everything electrical in the car (sans a iPod/iphone direct connect to the factory radio) is stock.

Post install, the car no longer shuts off while battery unattached no matter what I have turned on. I put on the AC, low beams wi/ fogs, opened all windows and sunroof at once while blasting some dub step and the rpms didn't even flinch.

One issue I have now is a damn CEL. Something about an o2 sensor:bang head: Car runs fine despite the code. I thought it was a fluke at first so I removed the code.... only for it to come back again:mad: You don't think I damaged anything, do you?

2010 JSW S Upgrade to MFSW and In-Dash Nav, Sat Radio, BlueTooth HD Stereo?

Thanks to everyone in my previous thread who helped with tire and wheel selection for our new JSW.

Purchased a set of 17" silver GOALs (Picking up this weekend) and going to put a set of Hankook Ventus V12s on them.

Now I'm going to begin the process of getting everything I'll need to upgrade the deck and put in a MFSW and was hoping to get some feedback on what I believe to be what I'll need to do it and do it right.

After considering going with a coupler of different Kenwoods I've narrowed it down to a couple of Pioneer models. The AVHP4300DVD and the more expensive AVIC-X930BT.

I'm leaning toward the AVIC at this point to connect to the MFSW but was curious if anyone has any first hand experience with either of these units. Would be very interested to hear your thoughts.

Now to what I believe I'm going to need to complete this upgrade of my S-model JSW:

MFSW w/ airbag
Steering Wheel Control Module or SCCM
Pioneer AVIC-X930BT In-Dash Unit
Pioneer GEX-P920XM Satellite Radio Tuner

I think that's about it for what I'll need beyond the obvious kits, wiring harnesses, etc.

If anyone sees anything major that I'm missing please feel free to jump in before I waste any money this weekend on something I don't need.
